Dr. Wayne Kin, Dentist
Dr. Wayne Kin grew up in Newmarket. His parents owned a local business in Newmarket Plaza where Dr. Kin worked during the summers. His parents always impressed upon him the importance of good dental health as part of good overall health. Dr. Kin embraced this good advice and has passed it on to his family and patients. At Newmarket Dental Care, Dr. Wayne Kin and his staff work hard to make sure all patients are treated like family and feel comfortable and welcome.
After receiving his DDS from Case Western Reserve University in 1994 in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Kin completed his residency in care for the developmentally disabled in 1995 and advanced general dentistry in 1996. Dr. Kin practiced dentistry in the United States before returning to Newmarket in 2000. He has been in private practice for over 20 years.
Dr. Kin is a member of the York Regional Dental Society, Aurora Dental Study Club, Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, and he has been published in professional journals. He believes in continuing education and is always taking courses to improve and bring the most current treatment to his patients. Taking care of tomorrows’ smiles today is his goal.
Married with two daughters, Dr. Kin enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with his family.
Dr. Ryan Margel, Endodontist
Dr. Ryan Margel, DMD, MS, FRCD(C) is our Endodontist who specializes in root canals. Originally from Toronto, he graduated with distinction from York University with a major in Mathematics. In 2009, Dr. Margel obtained his dental degree from The University of Pennsylvania. He then went on to work as a general dentist for two years prior to embarking on a two-year specialty program at Marquette University in Endodontics. His master's thesis investigated the anatomical complexities of molar root canals. Dr. Margel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of The American Association of Endodontists.
In his spare time, he enjoys sports, exercise, and traveling.
Julia Yun, Denturist
Julia Yun graduated with honors from George Brown College in 2012 with one goal in mind: the dental health and welfare of her clients. Her services include the fabrication of complete and partial dentures as well as the relining and repair of existing dentures. She also offers services related to implant-supported and retained dentures. Julia was dental technician for 10 years in the dental lab. Also, she has experience as a denturist for 9 years.
She loves spending time with her husband of 28 years and her three children.
Julia looks forward to meeting and helping clients in order to improve and maximize their dentures, dental health and overall quality of life.
